BT Router Scam
Warning, the cold callers are still at it. What started as the Talktalk scam has evolved to include BT.
The caller will claim that your Router is vulnerable to hackers and that it needs to be replaced. They will then suggest that because you have endured a bad service from BT for so long, they are going to give you a £200 refund. They will go as far as trying to talk you through setting up Internet Banking if you are not already using it to enable them to make the payment. Not quite sure how they plan to rob you via online banking given the security features but, that is their intention.
